The P&H 2800XPA loads coal at Oaky Creek mine in Queensland, Australia.

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN -- April 2006 -- P&H MinePro Services - Australasia is pleased to announce the sale of a used P&H 2800XPA shovel to PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara for Batu Hijau mine in Indonesia. The shovel, recently under lease agreement and on site at Xstrata's Oaky Creek mine in Queensland, Australia, will join six P&H 4100A machines at Batu Hijau mine.

P&H MinePro Services disassembled the shovel at Oaky Creek and shipped it to Batu Hijau, where it is currently under erection by the customer. P&H MinePro Services is supporting the local erection team with a labor specialist and commissioning engineer. The machine is expected to be operational later this month.

The P&H 2800XPA was originally sold in 1989 to Bougainville Copper in Papua New Guinea, yet due to political unrest in the country at the time, it was sent to Mount Whaleback in Western Australia, where it operated for 27,000 hours. It was then given a Triple RRR (Refurbished, Re-Powered, Re-Engineered) overhaul and leased to Oaky Creek mine in Queensland's Bowen Basin. Now with 40,000 hours of operation, the shovel is being stripped, overhauled, and rebuilt at Batu Hijau.
